The annual mahjong fundraiser for Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt happens each fall here in Nashville. When I first moved here, I joined the committee to meet friends, share my love of mahjong and raise a few dollars for a great cause. I am proud to be a part of the event for 2025.

This year, the main event is returning to the Hilton in Green Hills Thursday, November 6^th and we are sure it will be another successful event. Mahjong connects people and makes us exercise our brains. To make the game night event better, we are doing it all for a great local organization.

Highlights from Mahjong with Friends 2024

Last year the sold-out evening brought players together from all over Middle Tennessee. We played games and featured a silent auction, light bites, cocktails and giveaways.

Looking forward to 2025

We are adding more tables, in a bigger room with more generous tables for 2025. I have experience with large social clubs in Nashville, Chicago and Lake Geneva. I will have giveaways and other goodies for the players that come to support the evening. Who doesn’t love a good gift?

In addition, this year we are adding guides for any table that is interested. Do you feel like you need a little help picking a line or you are rusty at The Charleston? No problem! We will have a guide that can help you move the games along and answer any questions you may have. There is no reason for anyone to feel intimidated at Mahjong with Friends. This night is not a tournament, it is just for fun!

Players have the option of bringing their own set or having a Missy Mahjong styled table. We will be featuring tables styled with the latest tiles and accessories from Oh My Mahjong, Tigre de Tartan, The Mahjong Line, Bespoke Mahjong, My Fair Mahjong and many others. If you have been wanting to experience a new set or see a mat up close, this is your chance.
